Rustin Verret

Rustin is a lifelong Texan, born-and-raised in Austin. After attending Last Chance Choir Camp during high school, he has gone on to study music at the University of North Texas, double majoring in Music Education and Vocal Performance. Although he enjoys exploring other paths of music, choral music is what started it all when he went through the TMEA All-State process in high school.

Rustin has sung with multiple UNT ensembles such as UNT Chorale, Concert Choir, University Singers, and Grand Chorus, as well as conducting labs such as Conductor’s Chorus and UpFront!. Additionally, Rustin holds leadership positions in student organizations at UNT such as UpFront! and UNT’s ACDA chapter. Outside of UNT, Rustin serves as a choral scholar at Aldersgate Methodist Church. He recently performed with Opera Arlington in Don Giovanni and will continue his opera studies with UNT opera theatre this fall. During the summer, Rustin continues to nurture his passion of choral music and leadership through camps including UNT’s All-State Camp and Last Chance Choir Camp.

In the rare moments that he is not making music, Rustin enjoys chatting over coffee, swimming, collecting vinyl records, and spending time with loved ones.
